From scientist to the boardroom
I started as an atmospheric scientist, studying volcanic ash, ice clouds and how they affect aircraft. That work took me from Michigan Tech to Cambridge, Oslo and the Norwegian Institute for Air Research, where I ran technical pre-sales and flight test campaigns with Airbus and easyJet.
In 2013 I founded SATAVIA to turn that science into products. Our first product, DECISIONX, used AI models of the conditions aircraft fly through to predict engine component wear, helping OEMs reduce maintenance costs under power-by-the-hour service contracts. When COVID grounded fleets and our pipeline went to zero, I pivoted the company to decarbonisation and patented a methodology that made early climate action financially attractive for airlines, well before regulation required it. I led customer acquisition throughout and grew a sales team selling to CFOs and COOs across the Middle East, Europe and the UK. In 2024 GE Aerospace acquired the company, and I ran the product line there as General Manager.

Disclozure IncEarly-stage AI software company, currently in stealth.
- 2024 – 2026
General Manager
GE AerospaceOwned the P&L for the DECISIONX product line after the acquisition, co-selling with GE Aerospace's Engines and Aerospace Carbon Solutions commercial teams.
- 2013 – 2024
Founder & CEO
SATAVIA, CambridgeLed customer acquisition from first contact to signature and owned the sales team's revenue target, signing ~£15M in total contract value. Invented several aspects of the core technology and sold it to organisations including Airbus, GE Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, Safran, Lufthansa Technik, Etihad Engineering and Iberia Maintenance. Expanded accounts beyond pilots: Rolls-Royce moved to fleet-wide deployment, Safran became a recurring-revenue customer across an engine family, and Etihad went from proof of concept to what it called the world's first multi-year commercial contrail management contract, signed at the Dubai Airshow in 2022. Other airline customers included Emirates, KLM and SunExpress. Won contracts and funded programmes from the European Space Agency, the Aerospace Technology Institute (DEICER, with Rolls-Royce) and the European Commission. Raised seed funding and led the company to acquisition.
- 2007 – 2018
Research scientist and technical pre-sales
