Business, government and foreign affairs

Much of my career has been spent where business, government, civil service and foreign affairs meet. Selling new technology to state-backed airlines and sovereign investors, and helping shape the policy around it, has put me in rooms with heads of national delegations, sovereign investors, diplomats, ministers and the chief executives of some of the world's largest companies. I am at home in those rooms, and I build relationships in them that last.

Policy and government

I contributed to the UK Jet Zero Taskforce's non-CO2 group, helping develop the technical thinking on aviation's climate impacts beyond carbon dioxide, including contrails, as Europe moved towards monitoring, reporting and verification rules. I have been invited to events at 10 Downing Street. I am a member of the Conservative Party and take part in its Business and Enterprise Club.

International and diplomatic engagement

Through my work in the Middle East I built relationships at sovereign and government level in the UAE, alongside regular engagement with embassies and the diplomatic service. In 2022 I joined the UAE delegation at COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, as the UAE prepared to host COP28, sharing the stage with national representatives to discuss aviation's climate impact.

Royal and high-level events

Between 2016 and 2019 I attended entrepreneurship events at St James's Palace and Buckingham Palace, meeting members of the Royal Family, senior business leaders and international guests. I have also been part of King Charles's Terra Carta events, including at Hampton Court Palace in March 2025. Those connections opened doors to the boardrooms of major British and international companies.

What this means in practice

I am comfortable bringing sovereigns, diplomats, ministers and chief executives together around a shared commercial or policy goal, and I know how to build the trust, advocacy and sponsorship that long, high-stakes engagements require. That makes me well suited to roles that sit between government, diplomacy and industry.
